As a small business owner myself, I know firsthand the difficulties and frustrations of attempting to start a new business. You likely have what you believe to be a great idea for a business but are confused as to how to turn your idea into a money generating business.
I've been there myself. I spent years longing to own my own business while working away at various jobs. I was fortunate to work at some really great companies and learned from the best. I worked my way up the ladder of some major, well known corporations all the while researching and developing my businesses. (Read more in the Start Up Kit and Business Plan pages.)
I have owned various different businesses from marketing self-published how-to books to owning a franchise (retail children's shop). All the while I was in constant contact with other people that had the same dream of owning their own business. I was frequently asked how I did it. I was asked for tips and advice from those folks that just didn't know where to turn for start-up help.
There was a very real need for information and direction. And although there was an overabundance of information available, it was not contained in one single source.
Armed with significant, applicable knowledge, resources and experience I was in the position to be of service. I was anxious to help but didn't want to add to the already vast jumble of confusion. What was needed was a one-stop resource.
The result was the One Stop Business Start Up Kit. I had already previously written the book You Can Write Your Own Successful Business Plan and knew that it would be a perfect addition to the Kit.
Since it is not possible to include within the Kit every conceivable need for every different industry, I will continually add resources to this website. (be sure to bookmark this site so you don't miss any new information!)
I have since closed my other businesses in order to fully dedicate all of my energies and focus on my real passion, business development, by helping others with their small business start ups.
